India Delights

Kratan Supragiam is a very experienced chef, especially in Southeast Asian & Asian cuisine.

He has broad experience with these cuisines, working with Grand Hyatt hotel when he moved to Australia in 1988. He built his culinary knowledge rapidly during his work with Grand Hyatt hotel.

In 1999, he expanded his experience by working with The Palms Food Court Restaurant, located in Syndal, Victoria. His specialties were in Malaysian and Indian Cuisine.  The restaurant increased its popularity during his time being chef there.  The quality of Kratan’s food has changed the image of the restaurant.

In 2003, he partnered with a colleague to open and run a restaurant, named Rich Maha.  The restaurant specialises in Malaysian and Indian cuisine. He was the main chef and designed the restaurant menu. The business expanded rapidly and opened new branches in several suburbs. His valuable experience was passed on to many apprentices in the restaurant.

Because of his love of culinary pursuits and hard work, in September 2011, Kratan and his family opened new restaurant, named India Delights in Forest Hill, which they currently run together. The restaurant also specialises in Malaysian and Indian Cuisine. As the food quality is just as high as his previous restaurants, India Delights has gained much popularity since its opening.
